Luise Gerstmann
About me
I am an artist, author and educator.
My work lives between contemporary circus, physical theatre, storytelling and imagination.
I create performances, books and educational projects that invite people to dream, reflect and connect.
My journey
My artistic journey began in competitive acrobatics and later led me to professional circus training at FLIC School of Circus Arts in Turin, where I specialised in hand balancing and acro dance. I continued my studies in physical theatre in Berlin, discovering how movement can become a language for storytelling.
Over the years, I have performed, taught and developed projects in different countries, working with children, young people and adults. Alongside my artistic work, I write books and create educational formats that connect imagination with learning.
Today, my work moves between stage, page and community.
Whether I am creating a performance, writing a story or leading a workshop, I am interested in one thing:

Alongside my artistic work, I studied Sociology with a focus on culture, democracy and social change.
I am interested in the stories we tell as societies, the values that shape us and the role creativity can play in building a more connected world.
For me, art is not separate from society – it is a way of understanding it and imagining what could be different.
